The Trinidad and Tobago Karate Association recently hosted its All-Dojo Training and Judges Clinic under IKD Rules, bringing together karate practitioners, instructors, and officials for a day of education and development.
The event commenced with a Judging Seminar from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, attended by all adult black belts. The seminar focused on judging procedures, officiating standards, and the proper application of IKD competition rules, ensuring that participants gained a deeper understanding of fair and consistent judging practices.

Following the seminar, participants transitioned into the first training session from 9:45 AM to 11:30 AM. During the session, karateka engaged in technical drills, kata refinement, and kumite preparation designed to improve overall performance and sharpen competitive skills. The training environment encouraged discipline, teamwork, and the exchange of knowledge among members from different dojos across the association.
After a short break from 11:30 AM to 12:00 Noon, activities resumed with a second training session from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. The afternoon session continued to build on the day’s objectives, emphasizing technical execution, conditioning, and continued preparation under IKD standards. The clinic proved to be a valuable initiative by the Trinidad and Tobago Karate Association, reinforcing its commitment to athlete development, officiating excellence, and the continued growth of karate in Trinidad and Tobago.
