The Trinidad and Tobago Karate Association’s Athletes delivered an impressive performance at the 20th Annual Miami Open Karate International Championship, earning podium finishes against strong international competition. Competing in the Elite Athlete Advanced Division, Aidyn Batson showcased exceptional skill and determination to capture both bronze medals in kata and kumite. His brother Landon Batson also produced a commendable showing, securing a silver medal in Kumite in the highly competitive division.

The success continued in the Team Kata category, where Landon Batson (TKA) joined forces with Achilles Charles and Giovanni Brown (Adonai Sport Karate Club) to claim bronze medals as well as the 3rd Place Trophy for Trinidad and Tobago. The athletes’ achievements reflect the continued growth and development of karate in the country and highlight the dedication of the competitors, coaches, and support teams who continue to raise the national standard on the international stage. It is also wonderful to see inter-club collaboration to represent Trinidad and Tobago.
