TKA’s first Family Fun Day was held on Easter Monday at The University School’s playground in St. Augustine. Almost every dojo was represented, along with friends and family. The facility itself was equipped with swings, slides, and other playground equipment that occupied children and adults.

There was a relaxed atmosphere of camaraderie, light competitive spirit, and fun, with lots of food and beverages. Each dojo supplied games for the group, and rules were tailored to incorporate both children and adult participation. Other than mingling and the general liming vibe under the tents, the time was spent either playing or spectating the exciting activities including lime and spoon relay, Red-light: Green-light, sack race, tin pan alley, and tug-of-war, all in brilliant sunshine. Others engaged in kite-flying, badminton, and stunt bike display. The periodic downpour surely did not stop the 5-a-side football matches.
